Welcome to Dockhive – a decentralized cloud infrastructure platform providing app hosting, database services, virtual machines, decentralized storage, and blockchain-based hosting systems.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between Dockhive ("us," "we," or "our") and you ("you" or "your") regarding your use of the Services.

By using Dockhive, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, you must not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

  1. You must be at least 18 years old to use Dockhive's Services.
  2. If you are using the Services on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
  3. You must not be located in, or be a resident of, any jurisdiction subject to comprehensive trade or economic sanctions, embargoes, or similar restrictions imposed by applicable laws.

2. Scope of Services

Dockhive provides:

  1. App Hosting (static sites, APIs, and full-stack apps)
  2. Database Hosting (managed Postgres, MongoDB, MySQL)
  3. Dockhive Virtual Machines (DVMs) (CPU/GPU-powered compute instances)
  4. Hive Buckets (decentralized S3-compatible storage)
  5. Cloud Genesis SDK & API
  6. Node System & Explorer

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service or feature without prior notice.

3. Account Registration & Security

  1. You must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
  2. Authentication may be via:
    • Email & password
    • Web3 wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect)
    • SSO integrations (SAML/OIDC)
  3. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and wallet private keys. Dockhive will never ask for your private key or seed phrase.
  4. You must immediately notify us of unauthorized access to your account.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use the Services to:

  1. Upload, store, or transmit malicious code, malware, or unauthorized bots.
  2. Violate applicable laws, including intellectual property laws, sanctions, and export restrictions.
  3. Host content promoting violence, terrorism, child exploitation, or hate speech.
  4. Engage in spam, phishing, or fraudulent activities.
  5. Interfere with or disrupt the network, nodes, or other users' deployments.

Dockhive reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts violating these rules.

5. Payment & Billing

  1. Some Services require payment via subscription or usage-based billing.
  2. Payments may be made via fiat (credit/debit card) or cryptocurrency (NECTA, stablecoins, or supported assets).
  3. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
  4. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of Services.

6. Blockchain Transactions

  1. Certain actions (e.g., staking, node rewards) occur on blockchain networks and may incur gas fees.
  2. Dockhive is not responsible for failed or delayed transactions due to network congestion, smart contract issues, or wallet misconfiguration.
  3. Once confirmed on-chain, transactions are irreversible.

7. Intellectual Property

  1. Dockhive owns all rights, title, and interest in the platform, including trademarks, code, and documentation.
  2. You retain ownership of your data, code, and content deployed through the Services.
  3. You grant Dockhive a non-exclusive license to process, store, and display your content solely to operate the Services.

8. Data Privacy

  1. Dockhive respects user privacy and processes personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  2. While Dockhive uses industry-standard encryption and decentralized storage, you are responsible for backing up your own data.
  3. Certain data (e.g., node performance, transactions) may be publicly visible on-chain.

9. Service Availability & Disclaimer

  1. Dockhive aims for high uptime but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
  2. Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
  3. Dockhive disclaims liability for:
    • Blockchain network failures
    • Third-party integrations
    • User misconfigurations
    • Data loss

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  1. Dockhive shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  2. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount paid by you in the preceding 12 months.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Dockhive harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  1. Your use of the Services
  2. Violation of these Terms

12. Suspension & Termination

Dockhive may suspend or terminate your account if:
